Project #8, Typhoon Odette in Phillipines
Typhoon Odette devastated multiple regions bringing torrential rain, violent winds, floods and storm surges. The Government of Philippines declaring a one-year state of calamity in multiple areas.
According to government reports the typhoon affected a total of 10.8 million people calling for urgent needs of food and non-food items (NFIs), clean water and sanitation facilities, shelter, hygiene kits, medical supplies and restoration of livelihoods.
Working with our hands in the Phillipines as Australian borders were temperamental. Waves for Water educated and provided the provinces Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oreintal, Negros Occidental & Palawan with 102 water filters, these filters will provide 5,100 individuals access to clean water.

Bohol: 15
Cebu: 30
Negros Oriental: 20
Negros Occidental: 17
Palawan: 20
